Chinnydipper was created in 2015 by PGA Golf Professional Darren “Deej” Stratman alongside wife Becky & his 2 Daughters, Imogen & Lydia.
Based in the coastal town of Bournemouth, Deej has coached Golf since 2002 and has won a number of Awards for the work he has undertaken in Junior & Community Golf Projects.
The idea to start a Junior Golf Clothing brand came following numerous requests from Parents frustrated by the lack of selection for their Young Golfers who want to look like their idols.
While Golf was our original focus, our mission at Chinnydipper is to support Junior Athletes in all sports by providing stylish, high-quality clothing that helps them perform their best. We believe that sports are an essential part of a healthy and active lifestyle, and we're committed to empowering young athletes to pursue their passions and achieve their goals.
At Chinnydipper we recognise that participation in sports can be a key driver of personal growth and development, fostering valuable skills such as teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. Oh wait...the name...where did that come from?
Well…the name was actually a mistake!!
Deej always thought “Chinnydipper” was golf slang for a shank. Turns out it’s called a “Chilli Dipper!”
Unfortunately, Deej had already trademarked the name by that point!
