The Long Game is about the journey. This week, one of our own showed us where a journey like that can lead.
We've been fortunate enough to have a pretty good seat for Mila's journey so far.
We were there before anyone knew how the story would end. Before the call-ups, before the championships, before the England shirt. Just a young golfer doing the work — quietly, consistently, with the kind of determination that doesn't make headlines until one day it does.
This week, Mila got her England call-up.
The results speak for themselves
In the last year alone, Mila has:
- Finished 3rd in the Scottish Girls U16 Championship (July 2025)
- Reached the Semi Final of the Yorkshire Ladies Championship — aged 13
- Finished T4 in the English Girls U14 Strokeplay Championship, including a tournament low round of -5 in Round 1
- Finished 3rd in the Bronte Law Series at Uffenham GC (May 2025)
- Won the Bronte Law Series event at Moor Allerton (August 2025)
- Top 30 in the England U18 Girls.
What comes next
On 11th and 12th April, Mila makes her England debut against Spain at the Centro Nacional de la RFEG in Madrid.
We'll be watching. The whole Chinnydipper community will be watching.
