So...earlier this year we supported some talented female Golfers in their Rookie Year.
For 2021 and beyond, we've decided to take it a little further...
Introducing...The Chinnydipper Rookie Fund!
Over recent years there have been a number of initiatives aimed at getting Girls & Women into Golf. We're starting to see some incredible Female Golfers coming through the Amateur ranks and choosing Golf as their career.
Due to a number forward thinking Developmental Golf Tours, it's great to see playing opportunities starting to increase too. These Tours are a perfect way for new Professional Golfers to gain valuable competitive experience in their quest to compete on the biggest Golf Tours around the world...The Ladies European Tour and the LPGA.
However, to pursue this line of work can prove costly...Competition Entry Fees, Travel & Accommodation to name just a few.
Our goal is to support Female Golf Professionals in the earliest stage of their career to help them achieve their dreams of playing competitive Golf for a living.
We are working with a number of PGA Professionals to run events to support our mission and will be bringing you a new "Rookie Collection"
How you can help too
We can't do this alone, so if you would like to support our mission, you can donate at our Just Giving Page at
We'd love you to be part of the journey so follow @chinnydipper on social media and watch some of the UK's finest new talent work towards achieving their dreams.
"It's not the days in your life, but the life in your days that counts."
OUR CURRENT ROOKIES
Olivia took up Golf at the age of 10 after visiting the driving range with Dad. She got her first handicap of 36 just before her 11th Birthday.
Olivia quickly moved into County Coaching and she made her first appearance in the Derbyshire Ladies 1st Team aged just 13! Olivia was chosen to represent Wales at U18 Level during her time at Derby Golf Performance College where she also went on the win 3 National College Titles. Livvy moved on to Tournament Golf College at Plymouth University, just after she had been called up to represent her Country of Birth at a Ladies level too.
After finishing her time in Plymouth, Livvy is now in her first year of PGA training. As well as focusing on introducing Golf to Ladies & Juniors, she hopes to compete in various Events around the UK with the intentions on taking part in the Ladies European Tour Q-School...something she had planned to do in 2020 but we all know how that went!
We are proud to be supporting Liv throughout 2021!
It was just before Emily’s 11th birthday that she got into golf. Her Dad took Emily and her younger brother up to their local driving range where they tried golf for the first time...they were instantly hooked!
From there on Emily started junior group lessons, and progressed through county and national junior competitions before moving onto the women’s national and international tournaments. This gave her the chance to travel around the UK and Europe, making so many new friends and acquaintances along the way.
During her Amateur career Emily won three national titles: The Critchley Salver at Sunningdale, The Royal Birkdale Scratch and The Leveret Trophy at Formby Ladies in addition to a couple of County Championships.
Emily made the decision to turn Professional at the end of November 2019. She attended Ladies European Tour Q School in January 2020 gaining partial playing rights for the LET and the LET Access.
Soon after playing in the Sunningdale Foursomes in March, along comes COVID-19. In what should have been a memorable year in Emily’s golfing career, however many events across the UK and Europe were cancelled due to various lockdowns and the difficulty in travelling outside of the UK.
The fortunate arrival of the newly established "Rose Ladies Series" enabled Emily to play some of the best courses in UK alongside some of the country’s (and world’s) best Female Golfers. Emily even managed a Tied 2nd Finish in the 6th Event at Bearwood Lakes, just 1 shot behind 2018 Women’s British Open Champion, Georgia Hall.
In 2021, Emily is looking forward (and hoping for) a full tournament season...and we’re looking forward to supporting her through it!
